Interview of K. Kerimian

K. Kerimian is the founder of The Nonbinarian Book Bike, a Brooklyn-based project which aims to distribute literature in book deserts. In this interview, K. talks about their “Ring of Keys” moment, as they came to terms with their sexuality and gender identity. They describe how they realized they were queer and the external social pressures that kept them in the closet even when they personally understood and accepted themselves. They also discuss the process of finding a strong trans community in Brooklyn after a childhood in Long Island and solitary stint narrating audiobooks in D.C.
