Eliot is a writer from the American Midwest. His first novel, Ponyboy (Norton and Footnote), came out in June of 2023. It is the first book with a trans protagonist to be nominated for the National Book Award. He is a graduate of the Iowa Writers Workshop where he was a Truman Capote Fellow. He’s the cofounder of the forthcoming fiction workshop called Comma.
