Andrea Lawlor teaches writing at Mount Holyoke College and is author of the novel Paul Takes the Form of a Mortal Girl (2016). In this interview, Lawlor discusses growing up working class in Connecticut, participating in NYC’s queer activist scene in the early 1990s, the current state of trans “fabulist” literature, and parenting as a nonbinary person in Western Massachusetts.
