Armani, better known as ArmaniDae, has lived in New York City on and off since 2011. He talks about growing up with his mom, dad, and siblings in southwest Philadelphia in a very loving, open, and supportive Jamaican household. He elaborates how, from that experience, he’s quiet and handy like his dad, but also loud, outgoing and outspoken like his mom. Armani reflects on his first time seeing visibly trans people, identifying with the men around him, and what visibility means to him.
